Policy

Editorial policy

How we keep guides and support pages accurate, useful, and trustworthy.

Editorial mission

JPEGtoPDF.io publishes practical documentation for people who need to turn image files into usable PDF documents. The editorial goal is not to cover every document topic on the web. It is to explain the workflows the converter actually supports: file selection, ordering, page layout, DPI, compression, metadata removal, mobile browser behavior, and troubleshooting.

How we define useful content

A page is useful only if it helps someone make a better PDF or solve a specific problem. For that reason, our guide pages should include concrete settings, tradeoffs, browser caveats, and examples. A page that merely repeats the same instructions with a different keyword is not acceptable for this site and should be expanded, merged into a stronger guide, or removed from indexing.

Content standards

Review process

When product behavior changes, we review the affected guides and support pages. A typical review checks whether the page still names the right controls, whether screenshots or examples are still accurate, whether browser limitations have changed, and whether the recommended settings still produce reasonable output. Short policy pages are reviewed for clarity and contact accuracy.

Testing approach

Guides are based on hands-on use of the converter rather than scraped third-party instructions. We test ordinary cases such as phone photos, screenshots, receipts, mixed image formats, print-focused exports, and email-size exports. Where output size is discussed, examples are treated as practical estimates because final PDF size depends heavily on source resolution, image complexity, browser decoding, and compression settings.

Update cadence

Core support pages are reviewed when the converter changes and periodically for stale advice. High-use guides, such as settings, mobile, file-size, and privacy pages, receive priority because a small mismatch on those pages can waste users' time. Review dates on pages indicate the last content check, not a guarantee that every browser behaves identically.

Corrections

If a page is unclear or wrong, contact jpegtopdf@gmail.com. Please include the URL, your browser, your device, and what happened. We correct factual issues, remove unsupported claims, and update instructions when the live tool or browser behavior changes.

Advertising and independence

Advertising does not determine guide recommendations. A settings page should recommend the smallest practical file, the clearest print result, or the safest privacy workflow based on the user task, not on ad placement. If ads are shown, they should not be placed where they can be confused with converter controls, download buttons, navigation, or support links.
